What we collect
When you sign up we collect your name, email, phone, residential suburb, and your domestic helper’s name, ID number, start date, and monthly salary. The Department of Labour requires this information to register a domestic worker for UIF.
When you download the Starter Kit we collect your email address and nothing else.
Why we collect it
- To register your helper with the Department of Labour and submit monthly UI-19 declarations on your behalf.
- To bill you R149* a month all-in via Stitch DebiCheck (or your chosen payment method).
- To contact you about your account, payslips, payment confirmations, deadline reminders, support.
- To improve the service via aggregated, de-identified usage analytics.
Who we share with
- The Department of Labour, required for UIF compliance.
- Our payment processor (Stitch), to set up and run debit orders.
- Our email provider, to deliver transactional emails to you.
- Anthropic / DeepSeek, for our AI assistant on WhatsApp (de-identified prompts only; ID numbers and banking details are never sent).
We never sell your information. We never share it with marketing companies.
Your rights under POPIA
- Access, ask us what we have on file. We’ll send it within 7 working days.
- Correction, tell us about anything wrong; we’ll fix it immediately.
- Deletion, close your account and ask us to erase your data. We legally must keep UIF records for 5 years (DoL rule), but everything else goes.
- Object to any processing you don’t agree with.

Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). ID numbers and banking details are encrypted at rest. We log every access to your record so we can show you exactly who looked at what, when.
Cookies
We use one cookie to remember if you’ve dismissed our consent banner. We don’t use any third-party tracking or advertising cookies. Analytics is privacy-respecting and aggregated.
